The Warehouse Lead will be responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations ensuring efficient and accurate receipt storage and dispatch of goods. This role involves supervising a team of warehouse associates maintaining safety standards optimizing workflow and contributing to the overall productivity and organization of the Cadbury Shah Alam warehouse. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills a keen eye for detail and a commitment to operational excellence.
How you will contribute
Operational Oversight:
Direct and coordinate daily warehouse activities including receiving put-away picking packing shipping and inventory control.
Ensure all warehouse operations are conducted efficiently and according to established procedures.
Monitor workflow and allocate tasks to warehouse associates to meet daily targets and deadlines.
Team Leadership & Development:
Supervise motivate and guide a team of warehouse associates.
Provide on-the-job training and coaching to ensure team members are proficient in their roles and adhere to company policies.
Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
Assist with performance evaluations and feedback for team members.
Inventory Management:
Oversee accurate inventory counts and participate in cycle counting and physical inventory processes.
Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies promptly.
Ensure proper storage and rotation of products particularly perishable goods to minimize waste and damage.
Safety & Compliance:
Ensure strict adherence to all health safety and environmental regulations and company policies.
Conduct regular safety checks and address potential hazards immediately.
Promote a safety-conscious culture within the warehouse.
Ensure proper use and maintenance of warehouse equipment (e.g. forklifts pallet jacks).
Quality Control:
Implement and monitor quality control procedures for incoming and outgoing goods.
Report any product damage defects or discrepancies to management.
Process Improvement:
Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains within warehouse operations.
Contribute to the development and implementation of new warehouse strategies and technologies.

Education:
Experience:
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a warehouse or distribution center environment.
At least 1-2 years of experience in a lead supervisory or team leader role.
Experience with food manufacturing or consumer goods warehousing is highly desirable.
Skills & Competencies:
Strong leadership and team-building skills.
Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
Proficiency in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel Word).
Ability to operate warehouse equipment (e.g. forklift certification preferred).
Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
Good written and verbal communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in a warehouse setting.
