Job Description: The Endoscopy Tech Coordinator is a key role within the Endoscopy Service Line responsible for assisting with daily operations coordinating supply chain logistics and ensuring high-quality patient care. This position requires strong clinical expertise in endoscopy procedures as well as leadership skills to mentor staff and enhance service efficiency. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: - Assists with the daily operations of the Endoscopy Service Line ensuring effective case flow and resource management (instruments supplies and equipment). - Serve as the primary point of contact for providers vendors support staff and leadership maintaining clear communication regarding procedures schedules and equipment needs. - Provide clinical expertise in endoscopy procedures including setup troubleshooting and high-level disinfection (HLD) processes. - Support quality assurance and compliance with established policies procedures and regulatory standards. - Collaborate with providers to improve service line efficiency and promote best practices. - Contribute to equipment budgeting and procurement providing recommendations for new acquisitions and maintenance. - May mentor train and support endoscopy staff identifying educational needs and coordinating training sessions. - Assist with administrative duties supporting the Nurse Manager and other leadership in staffing regulatory compliance and cost management. - May participate in on-call rotation based on unit staffing needs. - May perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Two years of Endoscopy tech experience required.
- Certified as an Advanced Endoscopy Tech through SGNA preferred.
- BLS required
