Description
Acts as a key member of the Endoscopy Service Line assisting with daily operations and coordinating supply chain logistics.
Ensures high-quality patient care through clinical expertise and operational support.
Assists with daily operations maintaining effective case flow and managing instruments supplies and equipment.
Serves as the primary point of contact for providers vendors support staff and leadership.
Maintains clear communication regarding procedures schedules and equipment needs.
Provides clinical expertise in endoscopy procedures including:
Procedure setup
Equipment troubleshooting
High-level disinfection (HLD) processes
Supports quality assurance and ensures compliance with policies procedures and regulatory standards.
Collaborates with providers to improve service line efficiency and promote best practices.
Contributes to equipment budgeting and procurement including recommendations for new acquisitions and maintenance.
Mentors trains and supports endoscopy staff identifying educational needs and coordinating training sessions.
Assists with administrative duties supporting the Nurse Manager and leadership in:
Staffing
Regulatory compliance
Cost management
Participates in on-call rotation as required based on unit staffing needs.
Performs other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Experience: Two (2) years of Endoscopy Tech experience.
Certification:
Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
Advanced Endoscopy Tech certification through SGNA preferred.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS (Medium): 20-50 lbs.; 0-33% of the work day (occasionally); 11-25 lbs. 34-66% of the workday (frequently); 01-10 lbs. 67-100% of the workday (constantly); Lifting 50 lbs. max; Carrying of objects up to 25 lbs.; Occasional to frequent standing & walking Occasional sitting Close eye work (computers typing reading writing) Physical demands may vary depending on assigned work area and work tasks.
ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS: Factors affecting environment conditions may vary depending on the assigned work area and tasks. Environmental exposures include but are not limited to: Blood-borne pathogen exposure Bio-hazardous waste Chemicals/gases/fumes/vapors Communicable diseases Electrical shock Floor Surfaces Hot/Cold Temperatures Indoor/Outdoor conditions Latex Lighting Patient care/handling injuries Radiation Shift work Travel may be required. Use of personal protective equipment including respirators environmental conditions may vary depending on assigned work area and work tasks.
