Minuteman High School is seeking a qualified Cooperative Education Assistant for the school year. The Cooperative Education Assistant will serve as the liaison between employers and Minutemans job board. They will register employers and train students on Minutemans job board. The Cooperative Education Assistant will connect employers to students and CTE programs arrange work experiences and highlight students securing employment is a stipend position with responsibilities and compensation detailed below.
Major Responsibilities:- Register and approve employers for Minutemans job board.
- Set up accounts and train all students on Minutemans job board.
- Track job board data and present it at Minutemans General Advisory and Program Meetings.
- Connect Minuteman students and instructors with registered employers for coop and networking opportunities.
- Arrange work experiences for students such as networking events.
- Follow up with students employers and staff in a timely fashion.
- Collaborate with Minuteman Technical Institutes Executive Director and Minutemans Cooperative Education (Coop) and Workforce Development Coordinator to provide coop and post-program placements for students.
- Arrange Minuteman job fairs.
- Register employers for Minutemans career fair.
- Perform other duties as determined by administration.
Qualifications:- Demonstrated ability to interact with business and industry people and related organizations.
- Demonstrated ability to interact with students teachers parents and staff.
- Experience in career education work-site development and job placement.
- Knowledge of local state and federal laws related to career and technical and workforce education.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Able to work in a team environment.
Additional Requirements:- This position includes but is not limited to: interacting with the public walking around the school standing for periods occasionally lifting and carrying items reading documents using a computer listening and speaking using office equipment maintaining energy throughout the day and handling stress effectively.
Terms of Employment:Effective Dates of Employment:- This is a stipend position for the 2026-2027 school year (July 1 2026 June 30 2027).
Supervisor:- Cooperative Education Director.
Compensation:- The total stipend for this position is $6429 for the entire assignment.
