Job Summary

Cloud Architect
Location: Trenton NJ - hybrid 3 days onsite 2 days remote per week
Position Type: Contract

Requirements: 10 years of experience designing deploying managing and supporting enterprise VMware environments (vSphere/ESXi vCenter NSX vSAN) 7 years planning executing administering and optimizing VMware environments for scalability and efficiency 7 years administering TOR switches vSwitches Port Groups and Distributed Virtual Switches 7 years performing upgrades patches migrations and capacity expansions across VMware versions (7 8 9) 5 years administering hybrid cloud infrastructures integrating on-premises data centers with public cloud platforms like Azure VMware Solution (AVS) 5 years working with storage technologies such as NAS ISCSI and fiber channel HBAs connected to SAN 2 years providing VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) 5.0 / SDDC stack support 2 years managing NSX Software Defined Networking with knowledge of micro-segmentation and Zero Trust principles 3 months supporting VCF 9 deployments/implementation
Preferred:2 Utilize vRealize/Aria Suite 2 Work with Dell VxRail HCI 1 Apply scripting knowledge (Python Java Shell/BASH)

Job Description

We are looking for a Cloud Architect to support the planning execution administration and optimization of enterprise VMware environments. This position will be full-time contract and hybrid (3 days onsite 2 days remote per week).

What Youll Do

Plan execute administer and optimize enterprise VMware environments to ensure operational efficiency and scalability
Provide deep technical expertise across VMware platforms and hybrid cloud infrastructures to support high availability performance security and scalability of mission-critical systems
Manage and maintain on-premises and cloud-based VMware solutions including troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues
Collaborate with infrastructure security and application teams to ensure seamless integration and operation of systems
Implement best practices to enhance the performance security and reliability of VMware environments
Proactively identify opportunities for system upgrades patches and capacity planning to optimize performance and reduce downtime

What Youll Need

Required:

10 years of experience with designing deploying managing and supporting enterprise VMware environments including vSphere/ESXi vCenter NSX and vSAN
7 years of experience with planning executing administering and optimizing enterprise VMware environments to ensure operational efficiency and scalability
7 years of experience with administering and supporting TOR switches vSwitches Port Groups and Distributed Virtual Switches
7 years of experience with executing system upgrades patches migrations and capacity expansions across multiple VMware versions (7 8 9)
5 years of experience with administering and optimizing hybrid cloud infrastructures integrating on-premises data centers with public cloud platforms (AVS) Azure VMware Solution
5 years of experience of working with storage technologies NAS ISCSI and fiber channel HBAs connected to SAN
2 years of experience with providing expertise in VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) 5.0 / SDDC stack support
2 years of experience with managing NSX Software Defined Networking with an understanding of micro-segmentation and Zero Trust principles
3 months of experience with supporting VCF 9 deployments/implementation

Preferred:

2 Utilize vRealize/Aria Suite
2 Work with Dell VxRail HCI
1 Apply scripting knowledge (Python Java Shell/BASH)

Physical Demands

Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal state and local standards
Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings etc.
Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer utilizing a mouse keyboard and monitor
