As the Senior Finance Analyst for Nigeria you will be a pivotal member of the Finance & Strategy team. Reporting directly to the Head of Finance & Strategy you will oversee the countrys core financial operations and drive strategic automation projects that directly impact our bottom line.
In this role you will be a people manager responsible for leading and developing a Finance Analyst requiring strong leadership and problem-solving skills in strategic situations.
Your responsibilities will include:
Financial Operations: Supervising and ensuring the flawless execution of payments to our core ecosystem: suppliers couriers and partners.
FP&A: Leading local financial planning and analysis budget tracking and delivering accurate reports to senior leadership.
Strategic Automation & Optimization: Driving high-impact projects such as leading the transition from manual spreadsheet-based payment processes to automated systems.
Stakeholder Negotiation: Partnering and negotiating with external fintech providers and internal tech teams to optimize payment architectures and reduce costs.
Qualifications :
Experience: 3 years of relevant experience in Financial Planning & Strategy Finance Operations or Audit ideally within a fast-paced multinational or high-growth tech environment.
Management Skills: Proven ability to manage mentor and develop direct reports.
Technical Tools: Intermediate to Advanced expertise with Excel/Google Sheets and strong SQL querying skills to extract and manipulate large datasets.
Accounting Foundation: Good accounting knowledge including local GAAP & IFRS.
Analytical Mindset: An analytical mindset to analyze data and transform it into meaningful insights. You must be comfortable executing deep-dives to solve complex operational challenges.
Cross-Functional Agility: Ability to work seamlessly with different teams. You will constantly deal with regional stakeholders HQ FP&A and local ops/commercial teams.
Execution Focus: Proactive organized and obsessed with details to solve problems. You must have experience in system automation and process improvement.
Industry Fit: Interest in start-ups technology and a fast-paced environment. Experience in a start-up is a plus.
