Job Summary
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collect review analyze and interpret financial statements (Income Statement Statement of Financial Position and Cash Flow Statement)
- Identify trends in income lines expenses and profitability of the Microfinance Bank
- Develop financial models to support forecasting budgeting and investment analysis
- Perform variance analyses between budgeted and actual figures
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide actionable recommendations
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis to inform business strategies
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess financial implications of projects
- Assist in risk management by evaluating financial performance and potential outcome
- Analyze potential investment opportunities for the Microfinance Bank
- Provide forecasts on returns risks and market conditions
- Ensure adherence to banking regulations and financial reporting standards
- Track economic trends competitor performance and industry developments
- Support the Head of Treasury in monitoring the Microfinance Banks investment portfolio and suggest rebalancing strategies where and when necessary
- Provide insights and support to Management on data-driven decision-making
- Carry out financial analyses of the various business units in the Microfinance Bank
- Any other tasks assignedfrom timetotime.
Qualifications & Experience
Education: Bachelors degree in finance accounting or related field (Preferably at masters degree level). Possession of professional qualification in accounting or finance such as ACA ACCA CFA etc.
Experience:
- 35 years experience in financial analysis
- Strong analytical Excel and reporting skills
- Professional certification (ACA ACCA CFA) is a plus
