From The Door Talent a specialist recruitment agency working with high-impact technical and infrastructure roles we are currently supporting a major Distribution Network Operator (DNO) in the UK in the search for an experienced Contracts Manager to join their commercial team.
This is a senior-level opportunity to work on large-scale high-value infrastructure projects with contract values ranging from 50M to 500M offering long-term stability and strong career progression.
The Role
As Contracts Manager you will play a key role in both pre-contract and post-contract commercial management supporting the successful delivery of complex energy and EV infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities

Support the P&C Manager / Senior Contracts Manager in negotiating contract terms and conditions for high-value projects.

Lead and support contract price negotiations ensuring commercial robustness and value for money.

Manage commercial aspects during the delivery phase including change control compensation events and cost forecasting.

Produce and manage cost reports forecasts and expenditure tracking.
-
Ensure strict adherence to change management procedures and commercial governance.
-
Draft interpret and manage commercial contracts including NEC contracts and bespoke arrangements.
-
Engage with and manage multiple internal and external stakeholders resolving issues and disputes proactively.

Ensure full compliance with health safety and environmental policies promoting a strong safety culture.
Requirements
-
Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.

Ideally chartered or working towards professional membership (e.g. RICS CICES or equivalent).

Strong experience in:

Contract administration

Cost and budget management
-
Commercial forecasting and reporting

Estimating and procurement
-
Proven experience working with NEC contracts and standard form construction contracts.

Excellent stakeholder management communication and negotiation skills.

Ability to operate confidently in complex high-value project environments.
