We are seeking a results-oriented Senior Director to oversee the FP&A Transformation project initiative for Asia segment. This pivotal role will provide strategic and executional leadership across multiple workstreamsincluding revenue and expense reporting strategy operating model redesign and analytics enablement.
The ideal candidate brings a unique blend of actuarial knowledge financial planning and forecasting expertise and a transformation mindset. You will be responsible for enhancing FP&A capabilities through streamlined processes digital tools and advanced analyticsdelivering actionable insights that empower better decision-making and value creation.
Position Responsibilities
Transformation Leadership & Execution
Oversee the FP&A transformation program aligning with Group Finance transformation program and Group FP&A transformation project
Work collaboratively with Group FP&A project stakeholders external consultants regional Finance/Actuarial/Distribution team and local Asia markets and lead the planning and execution of the transformation workstreams including Revenue Expense Reporting Operating model design and Data and systems integration etc.
Drive continuous improvement in FP&A processes systems and tools to increase efficiency accuracy and agility.
Assess and manage implications interdependencies and risks across workstreams ensuring cohesive execution prioritization and resource alignment.
Digital Enablement & Technology Integration
Champion the use of Anaplan as the enterprise FP&A planning and forecasting platform:
Collaborate with the FP&A transformation Anaplan and IT teams to ensure Anaplan models and reporting capabilities meet business needs.
Partner with the Anaplan Center of Expertise (CoE) to define and implement features integrations and enhancements.
Lead integration with Power BI and other visualization tools to enable real-time reporting and self-service analytics.
Support data automation and workflow optimization using tools such as Alteryx Python and others.
Capability Building & Change Management
Lead training and knowledge transfer programs to upskill FP&A teams across Asia segment in new tools systems and ways of working.
Ensure smooth transition of ongoing maintenance and support activities to FP&A teams post-implementation.
Promote a culture of data-driven decision-making and continuous innovation within the Asia segment FP&A function.
Stakeholder Engagement & Governance
Engage with stakeholders across Group Region and Business Units to ensure alignment buy-in and execution of transformation initiatives.
Develop and present governance materials such as status updates target state frameworks and risk assessments to the Asia Finance Leadership team and other various Steer Cos.
Facilitate cross-functional collaboration with actuarial IT finance and Anaplan teams.
Analytics & Insight Development
Develop and deliver financial and operational analyses dashboards and predictive models that provide actionable insights.
Use advanced analytics and scenario modeling to support planning forecasting and analysis.
Translate complex data and actuarial drivers into strategic business recommendations
Required Qualifications
10 years experience in actuarial area within the life insurance industry.
Proven experience leading complex FP&A transformation or any Finance transformation programs including process design model enhancement or development technology deployment.
Strong understanding of insurance-specific financial and actuarial metrics and their integration into planning and forecasting.
Experience working with external consultants cross-functional SMEs and project teams.
5 years of experience supporting FP&A business processes (forecasting budgeting reporting).
Strong business process analytical skills and model development/ enhancement:
1) Current state assessment
2) Eliciting and mapping business requirements
3) Target state design
4) Testing and validation
Strong technical proficiency in:
1) Power BI Alteryx Python for analytics development and automation
2) Microsoft Visio Word PowerPoint
Preferred: Hands-on experience with Anaplan
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
