Description

We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Computer Science Teacher to join our team at Lakeside Junior High School. The ideal candidate will inspire students to explore the world of technology coding and problem-solving while preparing them for a technology-driven future.

Key Responsibilities

Plan and deliver engaging hands-on lessons in Computer Science aligned with curriculum standards.
Teach foundational and advanced topics such as programming (Python Java or similar) algorithms data structures web development robotics or other related subjects.
Foster critical thinking creativity and collaboration in the classroom.
Incorporate real-world applications of Computer Science to connect with students interests.
Develop assessments to measure student progress and understanding.
Stay updated on emerging technologies and integrate them into the curriculum.
Mentor students in extracurricular activities such as coding clubs hackathons or robotics competitions.
Maintain communication with students parents and colleagues to support student success.
Collaborate with the school community to develop cross-curricular projects.

Applicants must hold a current Arkansas teaching certificate. Any applicant who holds an out-of-state teaching certificate must provide documentation showing they have started reciprocity procedures as required by the Arkansas Department of Education.

Salary ranges from a minimum ($52020) to a maximum ($74777) - based on the 2025/26 salary schedule for a 190-day contract. Salary is based on experience. A complete salary schedule can be found on our school website.
