Job Summary
This position supports the Computer Science and Mathematics & Statistics departments by overseeing and maintaining the departments instructional laboratories software systems and computing infrastructure and by assisting the departments teaching through instructional support and interfacing with students. This position helps ensure a safe functional and modern lab environment that enhances the learning experience for students and supports faculty and students. This role reports to the Chairs of the Computer Science and Mathematics & Statistics Departments.

Starting salary for this position is $72000- $80000. Pay offers are contingent upon experience and are determined through an internal peer pay assessment. This is an exempt staff position on grade 7.
What Youll Do
Manage the daily operations of teaching laboratories and computer classrooms used in computer science and mathematics courses.
Install configure and maintain software environments used in programming data analysis numerical computing and simulation.
Ensure labs and related systems are secure up-to-date and aligned with instructional needs.
Provide technical support for students faculty and teaching assistants using lab facilities and instructional tools.
Assist faculty in preparing lab activities managing computing resources and implementing new technologies for teaching.
Coordinate with IT services on system upgrades network issues and hardware replacements.
Monitor and maintain inventory of lab equipment computers and supplies; coordinate purchases and repairs as needed.
Enforce lab safety and usage policies; ensure compliance with university guidelines.
Document system configurations lab procedures and technical support materials.
Manage and update automated grading tools.
Manage and train undergraduate course assistants.
Interface with student groups.
Provide supplementary instruction by teaching lab periods for official classes and/or by teaching supplemental tutorials.
Provide mentorship to students.
