Head of Music to lead a dynamic and well-supported department
Full-time leadership role April start
Our client is seeking an inspirational and experienced Head of Music to join a progressive secondary school in Poole from April. This is a full-time leadership position ideal for a strong practitioner with a passion for curriculum innovation and extracurricular excellence.
The successful candidate will lead the strategic development of Music across KS3 & KS4 with opportunities to expand KS5 provision. You will oversee curriculum planning assessment staff development and enrichment opportunities including choirs ensembles performances and productions.
The department benefits from dedicated rehearsal spaces performance facilities music technology resources and a strong culture of participation. Senior leadership is supportive and encourages creativity and collaboration across the arts.

Experience and Qualifications
Qualified Teacher with QTS (or equivalent)
Strong subject knowledge in Music with experience teaching to KS4 (KS5 desirable)
Proven leadership experience or readiness to step into a Head of Department role
Commitment to high standards of teaching and extracurricular provision
