The Role
As Head of Geography you will take full responsibility for the strategic direction curriculum design and outcomes of the department. You will lead a small but committed team of teachers ensuring consistency challenge and clear progression across Key Stages 35.
Your responsibilities will include:
Leading curriculum planning to ensure a knowledge-rich well-sequenced Geography programme
Driving progress and attainment at GCSE and A-Level
Monitoring assessment feedback and intervention strategies
Coaching and developing departmental colleagues
Managing fieldwork planning and enrichment opportunities
Reporting to SLT on performance and departmental priorities

The Department
