Accountabilities

Develop and position AstraZeneca as a leader by building long-term relationships with key pulmonologists and internists at targeted hospital accounts.
Acquire superior product and disease state knowledge to effectively educate healthcare professionals about clinical evidence approved indications product efficacy and safety profiles for on-label prescribing.
Maintain in-depth knowledge of market demographic and managed care information relevant to your sales territory.
Provide special education to healthcare providers through programs that adhere to AstraZenecas ethical guidelines.
Utilize promotional resources and analytical tools to evaluate business needs and maximize effectiveness in your sales territory.
Collaborate with your Sales Manager and AZ team members to develop local strategies and business plans for Key Accounts driving sales performance and exceeding therapeutic and territory goals.
Complete all training requirements including product examinations and capitalize on formulary approvals through effective implementation of the Strategic Targeting Plan.
Work with other Respiratory team members to achieve common objectives and coordinated selling efforts.
Operate within the framework of AstraZenecas Company Values.

Essential Skills/Experience

At least 3 years of documented full-time successful pharmaceutical sales experience
Experience in working at hospitals accounts with specialist physicians
Strong clinical skill and sales ability
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Skills at building and maintaining professional relationships with key customers office staff and others in the customer influence network
A valid drivers license and safe driving record

Desirable Skills/Experience

Demonstrate agility in dynamic environment
Experience working with biologic medicines
Experience in pulmonology and/or internal medicine field
Experience working in a highly competitive environment
