Quality Analyst I (ETL Tester 2-4 years)

Job Description

Overview

End to end testing using SQL(SQL server) to validate data accuracy transformations and business rules across pipelines or ADF (Azure Data Factory). Advance SQL (complex joins CTEs aggregations windows functions ) for data validation and analysis.

Your role

• Data Quality Assurance
  • Design and execute test plans for data pipelines transformations and integrations within Azure.
  • Validate data accuracy completeness and consistency across source and target systems.
• Azure-Focused Testing
  • Test data flows in Azure Data Factory Synapse Analytics and Azure SQL.
  • Monitor and validate performance scalability and reliability of cloud-based data solutions.
• Automation & CI/CD Integration
  • Develop automated test scripts using Python SQL and Azure DevOps.
  • Integrate QA processes into CI/CD pipelines for continuous validation.
• Defect Tracking & Resolution
  • Identify and document data issues working closely with data engineers and developers to resolve them.
  • Maintain a defect log and contribute to root cause analysis.
• Collaboration & Documentation
  • Partner with data analysts data architects and stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure test coverage.
  • Document test cases results and QA metrics for reporting and compliance.

About you

• 2-4 years of experience in data QA or testing roles in a data and analytics space
• Strong SQL skills and experience with data validation technique.
• Hands-on experience with Azure services: Data Factory Synapse Azure SQL Blob Storage.
• Familiarity with data modeling ETL processes and data governance principles.
• Experience with test automation tools and scripting (e.g. Python PyTest dbt tests).

• Experience in enterprise reporting environments (e.g. Power BI).
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
• Exposure to finance or operational data domains.
