About the company
We are currently hiring for an IT Lead role on behalf of our client. This position will act as the accountable owner of a payments platform while also contributing actively to broader technology initiatives across the organization.
Job Responsibilities
A) Platform Ownership
- Take full accountability for the end-to-end stability of the payment platform including issue triaging root cause analysis resolution and preventive measures.
- Oversee production support processes including incident management on-call practices post-mortems and problem management.
- Define monitor and report on key operational metrics such as uptime latency incident frequency MTTR failed transactions and backlog of known issues.
B) Platform Improvement
- Drive continuous improvement by proposing and implementing enhancements across the technology stack and processes (e.g. release discipline observability environment management automated testing and security-by-design).
- Establish and enforce practical engineering governance including change and release management production access controls environment segregation and quality gates.
- Strengthen system resilience through disaster recovery planning and testing (RTO/RPO) dependency mapping and elimination of single points of failure.
C) MAS TRM & Outsourcing Governance
- Own and manage the TRM framework including risk assessments maintaining the risk register implementing controls and ensuring audit readiness.
- Oversee outsourcing governance (including intra-group arrangements) covering due diligence ongoing monitoring SLAs/KPIs access governance incident and change requirements and overall auditability.
Job Requirements
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science Information Technology Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in platform engineering IT operations technology risk or technology leadership.
- Solid knowledge of banking and payments domains is required.
- Strong hands-on experience in managing production systems including incident handling root cause analysis and operational governance.
- Proven ability to implement practical Technology Risk Management and security controls (policies controls evidence and monitoring) in collaboration with engineering teams.
- Strong understanding of outsourcing risk management with the ability to effectively govern vendors and outsourced engineering delivery.
- Comfortable operating as a single accountable owner in a lean environment with the ability to drive outcomes through influence.
- Familiarity with cloud environments DevSecOps practices and secure SDLC
