This role acts as a trusted advisor to the Area VP and the Latam Leadership Team supporting key decision-making and enabling the effective execution of strategic and operational initiatives acrossthemarketsto ensure flawless execution.
Beyond strategic planning theChief of Staff ensures strong governance over Area initiativesoptimizesexecutive-level communications and fosters effective cross-functional collaboration within the Latam Leadership Team. The role is instrumental in building monitoring and reporting the Latam Area Scorecard supporting financial organizationaland culturalcycles and coordinating Area International and Global leadership engagements.
Additionally thisrolepromotes a culture of accountability efficiency innovation ethical conduct inclusion and best practice sharing acrossall markets within the area
ROLE REQUIREMENTS
- University degree in Business Administration Business Strategy or a related field; amastersdegree is highly valued.
- Fluentin English Spanish and Portuguese desirable.
- Demonstrated success in strategic leadership rolesboth within AstraZeneca and across the broader pharmaceutical or healthcare industry.
- Proven experience in developing and executing complex strategic plans and driving organizational change.
- Strong project management and operational planning skills in regional or multi-country environments.
- Excellent analytical executive communication and storytelling skills with experience preparing materials for senior leadership audiences.
- Strong digital and collaborative capabilities (Teams Copilot AZ ChatGPT PowerPoint Power BI).
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Structured forward-lookingdelivery to ensure alignment for executionand collaboration with cross-functional teams to align andconsolidatestrategic priorities across the Latam Area.
- Act as the primary liaison between senior leadership and all organizational units within Latam and key International stakeholdersfacilitatingeffective communication and coordination.
- Lead andmonitorstrategic projects across the Latam Area ensuring alignment with corporateobjectivesandtimelyexecution.
