Job Summary
The Graceland University School of Nursing seeks masters prepared Registered Nurse (RN) for the undergraduate Nursing program.
The clinical adjunct position includes clinical instruction in healthcare facilities around the Kansas City Metropolitan area. The position is based out of the Graceland University Independence Campus in Independence MO. Internal applications accepted. Review of applications is continuous with semester long clinical contracts offered.
Clinical Courses Available for Hire
- Health Assessment (lab)- Spring and Summer
- Fundamentals (lab and/or clinical)- Fall
- Mental Health (clinical)- Fall
- Critical Care (clinical)- Fall
- Capstone Practicum (site visits)- Fall
- Adult Health (clinical)- Spring
- Community Health (clinical)- Spring
- Obstetrics (clinical)- Summer
- Pediatrics (clinical)- Summer
Required Qualifications
- Eligible for unencumbered licensure as an RN in Missouri
- Current RN clinical practice
- Applicants must also meet one of the following sets of requirements:
- BSN prepared nurses
- Graduate of an accredited BSN program
- 5 years of overall nursing experience
- 3 years of nursing experience in the specialty area the applicant is applying for
- Completion of the Clinical Faculty Academy (may be completed after hire date)
- MSN prepared nurses
- Enrolled in or a graduate of an accredited MSN program
- BSN prepared nurses
Preferred Qualifications
- Academic experience preferred
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage clinical experiences in selected clinical courses
- Ability to demonstrate attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills oral written and telephone
- Ability to work independently and/or collaboratively within a team
