The academic year starts on September 1 and ends on August 31.

Undergraduate students will be paid at the lower rate; while graduate students will be paid at the higher rate.

These rates do not included vacation pay nor statutory pay.

These rates will be applied until a new collective agreement is ratified. Retro will be paid after the ratification.

Requirements and Nature of Work:

(FR) Le candidat retenu ou la candidate retenue étudiant ou étudiante aux études supérieures (PhD ou LLM) œuvrera en étroite collaboration avec les co-directrices du Centre de droit public de lUniversité dOttawa afin dappuyer le travail accompli par le Centre. Les tâches comprendront la recherche; le développement dun tout nouveau site Web pour le Centre; lélaboration dune stratégie médiatique pour le Centre; la rédaction et la diffusion de bulletins dinformation et la gestion des comptes de médias sociaux; la rédaction juridique et la rédaction de rapports; la planification et lorganisation dévénements; les communications avec le comité consultatif les boursiers postdoctorants les chercheurs invités et les membres du Centre; la préparation de demandes de subventions; la supervision du travail des assistants de recherche de premier cycle; et autres tâches. Létudiante létudiant doit être admissible au régime travail-étude; maîtriser langlais et le français; être étudiant inscrit aux études supérieures en droit (PhD ou LLM) dont la recherche porte sur le droit public; être compétent dans lutilisation de Canva; et avoir une expérience préalable en planification dévénements. (EN) The successful candidate a graduate level student (PhD or Masters) will work closely with the Co-Directors of the uOttawa Public Law Centre to support the work of the Centre. Work will include research; development of a brand new website for the Centre; establishing a media strategy for the Centre; drafting and disseminating newsletters and managing social media accounts; legal writing and drafting of reports; event planning and organization communicating with the Centres Advisory Board Fellows Visiting Researchers and members; grant writing; overseeing the work of undergraduate student research assistants; and other tasks. The student must be eligible for work-study; must be fluent in English and French; must be a graduate law student (PhD or Masters) whose research is in the field of public law; must be skilled in the use of Canva; and must have prior event planning experience.
