Project/Program:
This position provides support for all OTDAs JBoss application servers and corresponding Apache web servers which house around 20 legacy applications in all environments. Moreover this position provides support troubleshooting and monitoring for enterprise level applications.
Day-to-Day Tasks:
IEDR/MyBenefits/MyWorkspace/UMAG/IAF/VirtualViewer/P8/ASSETS (Linux) - duties include:
Engineering development testing deployment and operation of I/EDR7 which ingests over 4 million images per month for OTDA programs including SNAP HEAP Temporary Assistance and Medical Assistance.
Installation configuration and administration of JBoss Application Server and Apache Web Server on RedHat Enterprise Linux and Windows operating system.
Maintenance of J2EE applications in various environments like development UAT Pseudo Training and Production.
Work with development team in deploying EARs and WARs configuring necessary data sources and server resources.
Perform tasks related to workload management application high availability fail over SSL and performance tuning by creating server groups clones and clustering.
Create shell scripts like automation of startup and shutdown processes cronjobs log rotation and boot start.
Migration of JBoss Application Servers from 7.2 to 7.4.
Installation of server packs and cumulative fixes.
Installation and administration of Unisys DTPRA and deployment of connectors on JBoss Application Server for communication with legacy group.
Support maintenance and deployment of Java applications (MyBenefits MyWorkspace IEDR7 UMAG IAF VirtualViewer P8 & ASSETS).
Support and maintenance of IEDR7 Batch servers.
Support WRTS application on Windows servers.
Support Database Network F5 and OS teams during maintenance.
Create and update BOM (Bill of Materials) documents while assisting with intake requests.
Develop network diagrams and flows to document architecture and system interactions.
Monitor Production environment using Dynatrace.
Provide 24/7 on call support for deployments as well as application support.
Mandatory Qualification:
Systems Architect -
Defines the architecture of a computerized system (i.e. a system composed of software and hardware) in order to fulfill certain requirement including a breakdown of the system into components the component interactions and interfaces (including with the environment especially the user) and the technologies and resources to be used in the design.
Expert -
84 Months: Candidate is able to provide guidance to large teams and/or has extensive industry experience and is considered at the top of his/her field.
Requested Qualifications:
- 84 months of experience supporting enterprise production-level application server platforms including installation and configuration with demonstrated knowledge of J2EE application architecture for troubleshooting deployment and operational issues and experience preparing technical documentation in accordance with organizational standards and procedures.
- 84 months of experience administering JBoss Enterprise Application Platform in enterprise environments.
- 84 months of experience in installation configuration virtual host management and administration of Apache HTTP server.
- 72 months of experience using Dynatrace for application performance monitoring transaction tracing and root cause analysis.
- 84 months of experience in Linux system administration including process management system services and shell scripting.
- 60 months of experience in installation configuration and administration of Unisys DTPRA.
- 84 months of experience with networking concepts including DNS load balancing firewalls and TCP/IP troubleshooting.
- 84 months of experience analyzing logs thread dumps heap dumps and system metrics to resolve complex middleware issues.
- 60 months of experience using Splunk and Elastic for centralized log management and analysis.
- 72 months of experience creating and maintaining technical documentation including Bills of Materials (BOMs) and knowledge articles in accordance with organizational standards.
