The Sports CampLeader plays a key role in delivering high-quality youth programming thatpromotes skill development sportsmanship and healthy living. Working underthe guidance of the Site Supervisor this position provides direct supervisionof children leads engaging sports activities and helps maintain a fun andstructured camp environment.
Responsibilities:
Provide directsupervision and ensure the safety of campers (K6th grade)
Lead and implementorganized sports activities and daily camp programming
Promote teamworksportsmanship and skill development
Maintain programareas equipment and supplies
Follow YMCApolicies and procedures at all times
Build positiveprofessional relationships with campers
Serve as apositive role model demonstrating YMCA core values: caring honesty respectand responsibility
Qualifications:
Experience workingwith school-age children
Background insports recreation or youth programming preferred
Strong leadershipand communication skills
Ability to managegroups in an active outdoor setting
Energeticresponsible and team-oriented
