Position:	Physiotherapy Assistant (Patient Care Assistant II)
Rank:	Patient Care Assistant II
Cluster / Hospital/ Department:	Hong Kong West Cluster / Tung Wah Hospital / Department of Physiotherapy
Salary:	HK$19764 HK$24701 per month Up to 5% of total basic salary as end-of-contract gratuity may be offered to contract staff upon completion of the contract subject to satisfactory performance.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Assist physiotherapists in preparing patients to undergo therapies.
2. Carry out simple physiotherapy treatment under direct supervision of physiotherapists at various physiotherapy locations in wards and in the community as required.
3. Care for patients and attend to their needs and comfort.
4. Check and observe the general condition of patients.
5. Relieve physiotherapists by providing technical assistance and observation for patients during treatment procedures.
6. Maintain equipment by daily cleansing and routine checks on normal functioning.
7. Carry out and attend to infection control and safety measures as instructed by physiotherapists.
8. Escort patients to travel between wards and different physiotherapy locations.
9. Perform any other duties as assigned by physiotherapists.
10. Provide service during weekends Sunday and Public Holiday.

EntryRequirements:
1a. Completed F.5 / S.5 or equivalent; OR 1b. Completed F.3 / S.3 or equivalent with relevant experience/license (See Remarks) AND
2. Completed the structured departmental training (See Remarks).

Preferable Attributes/Exposure:
1. Possess recognized Health Care Assistant Training / Care-related Support Workers Certificate.
2. Possess working experience in physiotherapy field
3. Care for patients and attend to their needs and comfort.
4. Interest to serve and communicate with patients.
5. Good PC skills & knowledge in MS Word Excel and PowerPoint and other MS Office applications.
6. Self-motivated and able to work independently under pressure.
7. Fluent in spoken Cantonese and ability to speak English and Mandarin.
8. Possess Physiotherapy Assistant certificate or related discipline.
