Our global network includes facilities in Canada the United States and Hungary ensuring regional expertise and global Position:Reporting to the Controls Engineering Manager the Controls Software Design Co-op will contribute to machine concepts design of control software integration of software with electrical and mechanical systems process development and machine installation at customer sites worldwide. The incumbent will also work on programming and integration assignments utilizing PLCs PCs robotics motion controllers vision systems lasers and other controllers while delivering the Eclipse Vision and the Eclipse Entrepreneurial Youll Be Doing:Assist in the design and develop software programs (PLC and/or PC based) specific to customer and project requirements based on standard Eclipse programming methodsAssist in debug and commissioning control systems at Eclipse facilities during the system integration stage and then at the customer site during installationSelect test and integrate hardware and software components such as robots analog devices motion controllers sensors vision systems and lasersWork with other members of the Controls Engineering department and other groups to continuously improve methods of integrating controls technology with the goals being enhanced safety enhanced functionality and reduced costAssist in providing thorough testing of machine functionality to verify software program completenessProvide accurate documentation for each projectAdvise customer on solving technical problemsProvide customer with training specific to their current project (i.e. machine operation programming principles and program structure)Work requires professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work within a team environment and actively participate in group meetingsComplete other duties and projects as assignedEnsure scheduled milestones are metNotify the appropriate departments if milestones are not projected to be met by expected due datesAdhere to the Eclipse Project Operating PolicyMaintain good corporate citizen role in support of the Eclipse Corporate VisionEnsure that all business activities are performed with the highest ethical standards and in compliance with the Eclipse Automation Inc.
