Job Summary

Minimum Qualifications

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent with formal training in medical assisting or Medical Technology (certification preferred).

Experience:

  • One year full-time experience as a Medical Assistant or Medical Technologist.
  • Experience working with individuals experiencing homelessness and/or addiction.
  • Current CPR/BLS Certification.

Certifications/Licenses:

  • CPR/BLS Certification (required).

Work Eligibility: Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Work Location Requirement: Onsite

Compensation: $24.4823

About the Role

The Medical Technician provides clinical and administrative support including triage medication monitoring crisis intervention and healthcare coordination within shelter programs.

Primary Responsibilities

Conduct patient triage record medical histories and monitor vital signs.
Assist the physician with procedures dressing changes and prescription refill processing.
Provide trauma-informed care crisis intervention and harm reduction support including Narcan administration.
Manage front-desk duties including greeting patients scheduling phones and coordination of emergencies.
Liaise with pharmacies verify medical benefits and manage professional correspondence.
Maintain sterile environments and dispose of contaminated supplies safely.
Maintain collaborative professional relationships with healthcare staff.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
