Working Location: Across North East London & Essex. Covering Waltham Forest Redbridge Havering & Essex Boroughs

Reporting Office: West Ham Lane Stratford

Persona: Mobile (Full Manual Driving License Essential). You will be provided with an L&Q van for business use only.

Role Profile

Join our Estate Caretaking Service Team at L&Q:

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Estate Caretaking Service which is a key function of our continuing commitment to providing a responsive customer-based service for our residents.

The role is for a Handy Person who will assist in the delivery of our estate services to provide a high standard of maintenance in communal areas within our blocks and on our estates.

Your impact in the role:

You will be working as part of a team but predominantly working alone assisting in the delivery of our estate services to provide a high standard of minor repairs in communal areas within our blocks and on our estates.

You will be carrying out communal repairs that will pre-planned projects involving painting decorating grounds work and general improvement of schemes.

You will also be liaising directly with L&Q staff residents and contractors and you must have due regard to health & safety and security issues.

You will be responsible for the vehicle tools and equipment provided to you

What youll bring:

Capable ofidentifying H&S risks and carrying out a variety of communal repair jobs.

Trade skills or DIYis essential.

Full UK manual Driving Licence is essential.

A good communicator and willing to learn new skills as the service adapts to the changing needs within the Trust.

Confident working remotely as part of a team therefore you must have good interpersonal skills and be able to arrange work schedules and plan the implementation of work.

Be self-motivated proactive and able to organise your time effectively and be aware of safe working practices.

Confident in using basic IT packages
