Title: Orthopedic Surgical Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Opportunity in Northern Wisconsin
Job Description:
Marshfield Medical Center - Minocqua is seeking a Surgical Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in Orthopedics to join our team in Minocqua Wisconsin. The Surgical Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant provides patient services in collaboration with a licensed Physician. The Surgical Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant ensures continuity between clinical practice and standards of care as well as promotes and aids in patient preparation for discharge. This individual works collaboratively with physicians nurses case managers and other healthcare disciplines utilizing a team approach to healthcare.
You will work with an experienced team providing orthopedic care in a Level III trauma center.

Job Qualifications
For Nurse Practitioners - Completion of a masters postmasters or doctorate from an nurse practitioner program accredited by the Commission on the Collegiate of Nursing Education or National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission. Current licensure by the applicable state board of nursing for advanced practice.
For Physician Assistants - Masters or Baccalaureate degree. Successful completion of a physician assistant program accredited by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA) or its predecessors. Successful completion of the national certifying examination and current certification given by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.
Current Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) permit to prescribe controlled substances
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) within three months of hire.
Additional department-specific certifications licenses or memberships may be required (varies by department/location).
