POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Except as specifically noted the following functions are considered essential to this position:
- Provide instructional support/coaching for a targeted group of teachers
- Provide interventions directly to students in the assigned academic areas
- Coordinate/facilitate assessment and progress-monitoring
- Co-coordinate the efforts of Intervention Programs
- Plan lessons that employ a variety of instructional techniques that when implemented meet the needs and capabilities of the individuals or student groups involved
- Use a variety of audio visual manipulative and technological materials and resources to support the districts curriculum
- Strive to implement by instruction and action the Districts philosophy of education and instructional goals and objectives
- Work with district specialists to make referrals about students who exhibit signs of educational handicapping conditions
- Maintain accurate complete and correct records as required by law district policy and administration regulation
- Participate in curriculum construction and revision and cooperates with other members of the staff in planning instructional goals objectives and methods
- Contribute to the quality positive culture and effectiveness of the school and district by working individually and/or collaboratively with others
- Maintain open lines of communication with parents in order to provide parents with information that will serve the best interests of students and exercises discretion with information received from parents.
- Maintain state certification through approved professional development activities.
- Follow District policies procedures goals and approved curriculum for content areas.
- Perform other duties and projects as requested by the Director of Educational Technology.
- Must comply with all SAU 70 District policy and building / department rules procedures practices and objectives.
