Travel: 50% local project and client visits No overnight travel
The Opportunity
A growing commercial drywall contractor in the Chicago market is expanding its New Construction division and adding a Project Executive to the leadership team.
This is not a back-office role.
You will step into an active backlog of awarded work support new projects coming online and take ownership of client relationships and project delivery. The internal PM/APM team handles much of the operational workload this role is about leadership presence and execution.
If you are polished relationship-driven and experienced running large commercial drywall projects this is built for you.
What Youll Do
Oversee new construction projects from award through closeout
Maintain strong relationships with owners GCs and key partners
Visit active jobsites regularly and stay visible in the field
Lead change order negotiations and resolve high-level project issues
Ensure schedule budget and quality targets are achieved
Represent the company with professionalism and authority
What Were Looking For
Proven experience in commercial drywall project management
Strong communicator with a customer-first mindset
Ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining field presence
Comfortable owning relationships not just paperwork
Driven decisive and confident in client-facing settings
