Agriculture Education Teacher - High School
(Extended contract days avalible based upon experience)
The teacher will conduct an instructional program according to the VDOE and Washington County Public Schools. The teacher will:
- Prepare lesson plans prepared in conformity with VDOE regulations and school procedures;
- Use technology and instructional materials relevant to the students needs; and
- Develop skills and abilities of students in the school laboratory.
FFA/Leadership Development
The FFA is an integral part of the instructional program. All Agriculture Food and Natural Resources departments are expected to have an active FFA chapter. It is the duty of the teacher to serve as advisor for the local chapter. It is necessary that the teacher spend time in planning and conducting leadership citizenship and cooperative activities for students at the district area state and national levels.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Effective Date: 2026-2027 School Year; Extended contract days available based upon experience
Salary: Commensurate with qualifications and experience
Benefits: VRS pension and life insurance medical/dental insurance sick days and personal days
