The Trading & Supply (T&S) Products business exists to maximize sustained value creation in oil products markets through effective management of Health Safety Security & Environment (HSSE) performance along with the necessary controls for regulated business activities. This supports the overarching Downstream objectives of material cash generation and high returns on capital.

T&S encompasses all global activitiesfrom lifting fuel components/products from equity refining and purchasing fuel components/products from third parties to delivering finished products to branded Marketing businesses and selling fuel products/components to counterparties including global proprietary trading of fuel components/products.

Whats the role

You will be responsible for trading High Sulphur Gasoil or Diesel within the Middle Distillates desk in the European market. Scope will depend on your experience with the expectation of full accountability for exposures and book development.

The Global Middle Distillates team operates at the core of the oil value chain across Diesel Jet and specialty products (GTL Base Oils Waxes). We combine strong global fundamentals with growing use of technical analysis to shape trading views and maximise returns.

Youll work closely with colleagues across regions to build and execute trading strategies for your product area.

Key Responsibilities:

• Grow and manage the Middle Distillates trading book; deliver against P&L targets.
• Take full accountability for exposures risk positions and deal profitability.
• Trade physical and financial products within a defined commodity/geography.
• Optimise the portfolio manage arbitrage flows and identify new opportunities.
• Improve supply flows and develop new valueadding propositions.
• Share market intelligence across regions and product lines.
• Partner with regional stakeholders on supply and sourcing strategies.
• Manage complex price exposures effectively.
• Drive short and mediumterm business development initiatives.

What we need from you

Were looking for someone with strong physical oil trading experience proven P&L ownership and the confidence to operate in a fastpaced environment.

• Ability to build and execute fundamental and technical trading strategies.
• Strong numeracy analytical skills and appetite for risk.
• Commercially creative mindset with the ability to spot and deliver opportunities.
• Strong relationshipbuilding communication and influencing skills.
• Experience negotiating and executing deals with customers and partners.
• Solid understanding of price exposures and complex deal structures.
• Selfdriven independent and eager to grow in an evolving commercial landscape.
