The Sports Camp Leader plays a key role in deliveringhigh-quality youth programming that promotes skill development sportsmanshipand healthy living. Working under the guidance of the Site Supervisor thisposition provides direct supervision of children leads engaging sportsactivities and helps maintain a fun and structured camp environment.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct supervision and ensure the safety ofcampers (K8th grade)
- Lead and implement organized sports activities and dailycamp programming
- Promote teamwork sportsmanship and skill development
- Maintain program areas equipment and supplies
- Follow YMCA policies and procedures at all times
- Build positive professional relationships with campers
- Serve as a positive role model demonstrating YMCA corevalues: caring honesty respect and responsibility
Qualifications:
- Experience working with school-age children
- Background in sports recreation or youth programmingpreferred
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to manage groups in an active outdoor setting
- Energetic responsible and team-oriented
