Job Description
As a Security Officer - Retail Center in Sunnyvale TX you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls and more. Join a leading team where flexibility meets opportunity. As a Part-Time Security Officer you can build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. Learn more: As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a busy retail location you will monitor and patrol assigned areas complete routine rounds and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will support access control assist with badge checks and use a computer and/or tablet to document activity and communicate clearly with the team. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients and guests by following Allied Universal procedures site-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities at a retail and/or mall location.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the property including storefront areas common areas corridors loading and receiving areas and perimeter zones as permitted by site guidelines.
- Observe and report suspicious activity hazards and policy violations; document findings and complete required incident and activity reports in a timely manner.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including addressing disturbances supporting lost and found processes and coordinating with site management and/or emergency services as needed.
- Monitor access points and customer traffic patterns provide directions and assistance to shoppers and employees and help to deter theft-related and/or disruptive behavior through visible presence and professional communication.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
- Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Loss prevention experience is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
