Job Description
As a Security Officer - Retail Patrol in Shelbyville KY you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial and more. As an unarmed patrol officer at a busy manufacturing and industrial location you will monitor and patrol assigned areas conduct routine rounds and stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will support access control observe and report unusual activity and provide clear customer service and communication to employees contractors and visitors. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to location personnel and visitors by following Allied Universal procedures site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of production areas warehouses loading docks parking areas and perimeter lines; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
- Monitor access points and help to control entry and exit for employees contractors and deliveries; verify credentials and/or authorization as required by post orders.
- Respond to incidents alarms and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner; notify appropriate contacts and document actions taken.
- Complete routine security-related reports and logs communicate observations to site leadership and report maintenance hazards suspicious activity and/or policy violations.
Minimum Requirements:
- CPR certification is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
