Job Summary:
The Facility Nurse is responsible for supporting the general health wellness safety and well-being of employees. The position provides comprehensive nursing and health-related services to employees. The position will base out of a fully equipped nurse station and is generally assigned to a primary facility or group of facilities but will also support and assist with other facilities or locations as needed. The role is also responsible for supporting the after-hours nurse call line that is specifically designed to support management and assist with work-related and on-the-job incidents that occur during the off-shifts and on weekends.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Provide basic medical care first aid health and wellness and other nursing services to employees.
- Serve as a first responder and assist with work-related and on-the-job accidents injuries or incidents that may involve or affect the health and safety of employees. Must be able to perform CPR and instruct others in an emergency/first response situation.
- Provide post-accident support follow-up service and administration of work-related injuries and cases. This may include transporting employees to receive medical care attending provider visits with employees and attending workers compensation-related meetings events or activities.
- Participate in and facilitate health and wellness events for employees located at assigned facilities or other facilities as needed or requested.
- Responsible for managing and maintaining the nurse station which includes equipment supplies files related materials and electronics.
- Responsible for recording all required documentation and records in the company Employee Medical Record (EMR) system.
- Responsible for completing and providing all required records reporting and related documentation connected to nurse activities events and processes.
- Participate in a rotation with other nurses to cover a telephonic after-hours nurse line that provides nursing support and guidance to management for work-related events. There will be the occasional need for an on-site visit.
- Support the administration of the companys Substance Abuse program which includes the administration and collection of drug testing.
- Provide appropriate and approved counseling and guidance to employees with health wellness workers compensation and related requests and needs.
- Coordinate and collaborate with others to ensure the overall health safety and well-being of employees.
Requirements
- Must have and retain RN/LPN certification and license in the State of Georgia. Other state certifications may be required in order to perform certain duties or roles.
- Must have and retain a valid CPR certification.
- Must have and retain a valid drivers license and provide own transportation with valid insurance.
- Must be computer literate with Microsoft Office Word Excel and Outlook.
- Professional appearance including adherence to all safety dress/hair code requirements and a nurse uniform that will be provided by the company.
- Compliance with all applicable federal and state laws including HIPAA.
