Job Summary
Are you passionate about optimizing supply chain operations and driving impactful changes through data-driven decisions Join our team as an Instock Manager II where you will have the opportunity to build scalable mechanisms that optimize Amazons inventory position across multiple this role you will leverage your problem-solving skills and automation expertise to identify and implement solutions that enhance our supply chain efficiency while collaborating with various business areas. Your analytical mindset and innovative approach will help transform how we manage inventory and ensure product availability for our customers.
Key job responsibilities
- Analyze inventory performance metrics and develop actionable insights to optimize stock levels across multiple product categories
- Design and implement automated systems and scalable mechanisms to improve inventory positioning and supply chain efficiency
- Identify root causes of instock defects and lead cross-functional efforts to implement sustainable solutions
- Partner with business stakeholders across the organization to align inventory strategies with broader business goals and customer needs
- Drive continuous improvement by developing and implementing best practices for inventory management processes
A day in the life
Your day typically begins with reviewing key inventory reports to identify potential issues requiring immediate attention. Youll spend time analyzing data patterns and generating action plans to address supply chain defects followed by collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement your solutions. The afternoon might involve leading project meetings for your larger initiatives developing automated tools to scale your impact and coordinating with various business areas to ensure alignment on inventory strategies.
About the team
Youll be joining a collaborative team of four Instock Managers led by a Senior Instock Manager. Together you form a critical part of the Total Consumer Electronics and Books organization working to ensure product availability across these key categories. Our team prides itself on building strong relationships across business units and driving significant improvements to Amazons supply chain operations. Were focused on developing innovative solutions that enhance customer experience through optimal inventory positioning and availability.
- Knowledge of analytic tools
- Bachelors degree or experience using data to influence business decisions
- 3 YOE in ownership of projects and communicating timelines and executing independently
- Undergraduate degree in mathematics engineering statistics computer science or a related field or experience working directly with engineering teams
