Job Description
As a Security Officer - Visitor Badge Control in Pasadena TX you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom and more. As an Allied Universal Access Control Officer at a tech and communications location you will welcome employees and visitors verify credentials manage badges and support entry and exit procedures. You will monitor assigned areas conduct routine patrols document security-related activity and communicate clearly to help identify and reduce potential issues. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to staff contractors and visitors by following site-specific access control procedures screening entry requests and directing individuals to the proper check-in points.
- Control entry and exit at assigned access points by verifying identification issuing temporary credentials managing visitor logs and escalating irregularities per post orders.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including dispatching notifications documenting events and coordinating with on-site teams as needed.
- Monitor security-related systems such as cameras alarms and access control software and report suspicious activity and/or system issues according to site policy.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter with working environments and conditions that may vary by location.
Minimum Requirements:
- Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
