Orlando Metro Properties LLC is seeking a qualified and experienced Safety Officer to oversee workplace health and safety practices on construction sites. The Safety Officer will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all safety regulations minimizing workplace risks and promoting a strong safety culture across all projects.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop implement and monitor health and safety policies and procedures
* Conduct regular site inspections and risk assessments
* Ensure compliance with local provincial and federal safety regulations
* Investigate incidents accidents and near-miss events
* Prepare safety reports and maintain documentation
* Conduct safety training and toolbox talks for employees
* Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
* Coordinate emergency response procedures
* Liaise with regulatory authorities when required
Qualifications & Requirements:
* Diploma or degree in Occupational Health & Safety or related field
* Certification in workplace safety (e.g. First Aid WHMIS OSHA equivalent)
* 2 years of experience in construction safety (preferred)
* Strong knowledge of safety regulations and risk management
* Excellent communication and leadership skills
* Ability to work independently and on-site

* Leadership and teamwork
* Ability to handle emergency situations calmly
