2026 Day Camp Counselor

As the leader for a group of campers youll guide them through a series of daily activities cultivating values such as cooperation respect and community. Position Type: Seasonal/Full-Time (Monday-Friday 8am-4pm)

Season: June 8 th-August 15th (10 weeks)

Training: June 8-12

Compensation: $11.00/ hour during Training Week (1 wk.)

$13.00/hour during Camp weeks (9 wks.)

Essential Job Functions:

• Supervise a group of 10-15 children between the ages of 6-15 while serving as their role model and primary caregiver Monday-Friday during camp hours of 9am-3pm.
• Prepare conduct and adapt camp activities from provided activity plans according to weekly themes.
• Engage campers with a fun welcoming and safe atmosphere for exploration learning and play.
• Guide your campers through various activity areas ensuring a safe and timely transition.
• Provide the daily care of each camper in your assigned group including assisting with personal health needs and assist with personal/health/behavioral concerns.
• Actively participate in the daily opening and closing of camp during the season including cleanup of facilities and preparation of program areas.
• Follow and uphold all safety and security rules policies and procedures.

Requirements/Qualifications:

• Must be at least 16 years old and enrolled in a secondary learning program or possess a High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Must successfully pass the FBI/BCI Background Check.
• Must successfully complete Summer Camps Training.
• Previous camp experience preferred but not required

Opportunities:
