Career Opportunity: BIM Structural Engineer
Location: Remote (Work From Home for 4 hours)
Experience Required: Minimum 1 Year in Field
We are expanding our BIM team and are seeking a qualified BIM Structural Engineer to support structural modeling detailing and coordination for national and international (mostly USA-based) projects. This is a remote position offering flexible working hours within a performance-driven BIM environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage structural BIM models (LOD 300350)
- Prepare structural working drawings and construction documentation
- Model and detail RCC steel wood framing and light gauge steel (LGS) systems
- Develop framing plans connection details and structural assemblies
- Coordinate with architectural and MEP teams for clash-free models
- Maintain BIM standards and submission protocols
- Extract quantities and assist in technical submissions
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- Strong proficiency in Autodesk Revit (Structure)
- Command of AutoCAD for structural drafting
- Clear understanding of: Reinforced concrete systems Structural steel systems Timber/wood framing systems (USA residential construction) Cold-formed/light gauge steel framing Ability to interpret structural design drawings and convert them into coordinated BIM models Strong deadline management and independent workflow capability
Preferred Qualification
Experience working on USA residential projects
Familiarity with:
ASHRAE guidelines
NEC (National Electrical Code)
IPC (International Plumbing Code)
Experience using Navisworks for clash detection
