About this opportunity:

The Team Lead is responsible for delivering accurate financial results and performance management reporting and for supporting the development of forecasts annual budgets and long-range plans for the Lloyd Refinery and Canadian Downstream Terminals. The role provides financial governance to ensure manufacturing sites develop strong business plans aligned with corporate strategy. They oversee the day-to-day financial operations of the Lloyd Refinery and CDT set clear goals and objectives for staff and coordinate review and compile deliverables to ensure work is completed accurately consistently and on time. As a direct business partner to the leadership team this individual must be detail-oriented and able to thrive in a fast-paced evolving environment.

What youll do:

  • Lead and develop a team of four (three in Lloydminster and one in Saskatoon) with travel to these locations and Calgary as required

  • Ensure financial statements accurately reflect business activities and comply with IFRS and Sarbanes-Oxley requirements

  • Coordinate and consolidate team deliverables and reporting for the Lloyd Refinery and six Canadian Downstream Terminals

  • Review P&L variance analysis and commentary for accuracy and present results to management

  • Provide financial reporting variance analysis and respond to inquiries from Corporate Finance and business partners

  • Act as backup to the Senior Financial Analyst including support with margin reviews

  • Partner with Corporate Reporting and other team leads to ensure accurate results and standardized processes

  • Coordinate and support the preparation and submission of annual budgets long-range plans forecasts and full financial statements

  • Advance planning activities during peak month-end and quarter-end periods to reduce analyst workload and enable focus on accuracy

  • Guide and mentor team members to support strong performance and optimal business outcomes

Who you are:

Our ideal candidate will have the following minimum requirements:

  • Legally authorized to work in Canada.

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting or related field; CPA designation preferred

  • Minimum of 8 years of overall experience including at least 5 years in financial analysis.

  • Power BI Superuser experience considered an asset

  • Strong knowledge of SAP and/or other financial reporting systems
