The core focus of this role is to evaluate plan and implement fundraising activities including signature events (e.g. Fur Ball Kelowna and Kamloops) third-party fundraising and local participation in provincial campaigns (e.g. Lock in for Love). This position will support to actively grow the BC SPCAs connections profile and support within the region. This position also manages a small portfolio of RoleDevelop an annual fundraising plan for events within the for meeting targets and evaluating on the planning strategy and fundraising for the two signature events: Fur Ball (Kelowna and Kamloops). Primary duties include securing sponsorships ticket sales budgeting auction solicitation on-site fundraising managing timelines and and lead volunteer fundraising and/or events on strategically identified Provincial Campaigns within the TOK region (e.g. Lock-In for Love) including recruitment and stewardship of participants securing sponsorships and event identified third-party event participants within the TOK and provide strategic support to key third-party fundraising initiatives identified as a strategic Duties:Collaborate with Senior Officer Major Giving (TOK) on donor identification cultivation solicitation stewardship activities and events as Centre Managers in the region with non-fundraising opportunities to build community engagement and as an ambassador for the BC SPCA by sharing the organizations story and values within the region fostering meaningful connections and encouraging community you bring to the teamUniversity degree plus 5 8 years of experience in a combination of event planning and fundraising especially in community-based fundraising or an equivalent combination of education and experience acceptable to the understanding of fundraising strategy efficiency and best practices and how fundraising at the local/community level can best achieve its experience creating monitoring and analyzing annual plans and communication skills and ability to work with a diverse audience of internal and external parties at all levels in a respectful manner.A demonstrated ability to be flexible creative and very well-organized and maintain a positive solution-oriented approach and resilience in the face of challengesCollaborative and demeanor attire and skills with Microsoft products.
