This role is in support of Cencoras patient and provider support and pharma commercialization services in Canada marketed through our Innomar Strategies business
Were hiring a Director - Business Development Commercialization. Youll be a senior dealmaker to help bring innovative therapies to Canada. Youll seek in-licensing distributorship and other commercialization partnerships run diligence shape compelling proposals and support negotiation of agreements.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
In-Licensing of Pharmaceutical Products
Lead the identification targeting evaluation and execution of in-licensing opportunities to expand our commercialization portfolio.
Conduct due diligence on potential in-licensing candidates including scientific clinical regulatory and commercial assessments.
Build and maintain strong relationships with global partners biotech companies and Business Development (BD) pharmaceutical manufacturering leads to identify in-licensing and distributorship opportunities.
Lead in partnership with operational financial and legal partners the negotiation and finalization of in-licensing agreements ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and financial goals.
Collaborate with pre-commercialization teams (e.g. Regulatory Pharmacovigilance Consulting) to assess the feasibility of successfully operationalizing products and their proposed models in the Canadian market.
Monitor industry trends competitive landscapes and market opportunities to identify and prioritize in-licensing prospects.
Commercialization Business Development
Work closely with internal teams to create tailored commercialization solutions for new to Canada manufacturers.
Lead the cross functional delivery of new to Canada RFP recommendations and pricing models along with cross selling our services to grow the portfolio
Develop and critique commercialization business models to ensure value-driven outcomes for clients entering the Canadian market and manage the Commercialization lead who support the successful execution in market once the business is won
Represent Innomar at industry events to promote its commercialization expertise and build strategic partnerships.
Regulatory Business Development
Partner with Regulatory Affairs teams to identify and pursue regulatory-focused business development opportunities.
Consult with clients to develop regulatory strategies that align with their goals and market entry timelines.
Stay informed of global regulatory trends and leverage insights to identify new opportunities for regulatory services required by manufacturer clients.
General Responsibilities
As part of your business development accountabilities coordinate and manage the proposal and / or term sheet process including development of responses to RFPs preparation of pricing models and budgets and finalization of contracts that reflect client and Innomar deliverables.
Maintain a comprehensive client relationship database and leverage industry relationships to optimize targeting oversee client meetings. and manage requests in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Ensure seamless transfer of client expectations to operational teams ensuring a clear understanding of value drivers and deliverables.
Represent Innomars commercialization and in-licensing service portfolio at industry events as outlined in the annual marketing and conference plan.
Perform other duties and tasks as assigned.
Experience and Educational Requirements:
Minimum of15 years experience in the pharmaceutical biotechnology or healthcare industry with a strong focus on in-licensing lifecycle management and deal making including identifying engaging and securing new partners/assets.
Proven track record of success in business development and thein-licensing of pharmaceutical products including due diligence negotiations and deal execution.
Demonstrated ability to build and convert a new business pipeline (partner targets inbound/outbound leads) and consistently advance opportunities from first contact through signed agreement.
Minimum of 10 years experience in sales marketing or client-facing roles within the healthcare service industry.
Understanding of the Canadian Regulatory landscape and processes in bringing a pharmaceutical to market
University degree in Science Business Management or related discipline (advanced degree preferred).
Demonstrated experience in commercialization and regulatory business development.
Negotiation and key account management expertise.
Excellent interpersonal communication and presentation skills.
Project and time management expertise.
Proficiency in MS Office software (Word Excel PowerPoint Outlook)
Bilingualism is an asset.
