Responsibilities
The Safety Manager in DeSoto KSsupports specific project needs by ensuring best practices are implemented safety compliance requirements are met and enhance a culture of safety.
- Oversee all aspects of the commercial construction project within the pharmaceutical facility ensuring OSHA compliance
- Conduct daily safety meetings
- Complete accident reports and conduct accident investigations
- Daily safety audits and inspections
- Oversee all subcontractors and contractors
- Write job hazard analysis (JHA) and health & safety plans (HASP)
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
10 years of construction safety management experience
OSHA 510 certification
Proven incident investigation and CAPA management experience
Experience coaching safety professionals and contractor supervision
Strong knowledge of OSHA and regulatory requirements
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Microsoft Office proficiency with basic data analysis capability
Ability to work onsite full-time in DeSoto KS
Authority and confidence to stop unsafe work
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Safety Engineering Construction Management or related field
OSHA 500 Trainer certification
CSP CHST CIH or similar credentials
Pharmaceutical or GMP construction experience
Experience with behavior-based safety programs and contractor scorecards
