Job Description
As a Security Officer - Level III Armed Patrol in Austin TX you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls and more. Join Allied Universal as an armed patrol officer supporting a busy retail location. You will conduct routine foot and/or vehicle patrols remain highly visible respond to incidents and communicate clearly with store teams guests and local responders. You will document security-related activity and help to discourage theft and disruptive behavior while delivering customer-focused service. This post requires a Level III Armed Certification.

What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to guests shoppers and store personnel while carrying out security-related procedures site-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout retail sales floors back-of-house areas parking lots and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Monitor entrances exits and high-traffic areas; observe for suspicious behavior potential theft activity and policy violations and report findings per site procedures.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including de-escalation coordinating with onsite leadership and requesting law enforcement and/or medical resources when needed.
- Complete detailed reports of incidents patrols and security-related observations and communicate timely updates to Allied Universal supervision and authorized site contacts.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have 3 Years Combined Law Enforcement/Corrections/Military OR 5 Years Armed Security Experience.
- Hold Level III Armed Certification Texas Only.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
