Full-time/Part-time Research Assistant I/II in the Strategic Research Theme AI Society & Social Dynamics within the Faculty of Social Sciences (Ref.: 534561)(to commence as soon as possible on a one-year temporary term or two-year fixed-term contract with the possibility of renewal subject to funding availability and satisfactory performance)
Applicants should hold a Bachelors degree or above in quantitative social sciences or data sciencerelated disciplines such as Psychology Sociology Geography Statistics Public Health Computer Science Data Science or substantial training/experience in quantitative research methods and related fields. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential. Applicants should be able to work independently as well as collaboratively across disciplines within a multidisciplinary team and should have a good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese.
The appointee will work in the newly established Strategic Research Theme on AI Society & Social Dynamics in the Faculty of Social Sciences ( ) and in close collaboration with the SRT leadership team Prof. B. Becker (Psychology) Prof. D. Xu (Sociology) and Prof. Y. Zhou (Geography).
Key duties include:
- Organizing workshops conferences and speaker series
- Supporting the team with data analyses and the preparation of reports applications and presentations
- Providing administrative support for the SRT
