Engineering Intern (Associate RAN Virtualization)

Position Summary

Samsung Electronics America Inc. is now accepting applications for its Summer 2026 Intern Program. This exciting opportunity offers a paid 10-week experience for selected senior or recently graduated students. The program will run from June 1 to August 7.

Eligible students will be seniors or recent graduates possess U.S. work authorization and be able to work full-time on a 5-day-per-week on-site schedule. Additionally participation in this program requires that you be located in the United States for the duration of the engagement.

Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis so early submission is encouraged. The application window is open until March 15 2026; however it may close earlier if all available roles are filled. Applications submitted after the application window or once a role is closed/projects are full will not be considered.

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Engineering Intern to join our RAN (Radio Access Network) Virtualization team at Samsung. This internship offers an exciting opportunity to work on innovative projects related to virtualization technologies contributing to the development of next-generation network solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for technology a desire to learn and the ability to thrive in a collaborative and fast-paced environment. Roles & Responsibility

• Assist in the design and implementation of virtualization solutions for RAN infrastructure.
• Conduct research and analysis to support the development of virtualized network architectures.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and optimize virtualization performance.
• Document technical processes and contribute to knowledge sharing within the team.
• Support testing and validation of virtualization technologies to ensure reliability and scalability.
• Implement automation initiatives that optimize internal processes.

Skills and Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science Electrical Engineering or a related field.

• Strong capability to work autonomously while effectively collaborating with peers and team members.
• Proactive in seeking clarity by asking questions about project objectives goals and deliverables.
• Proficient in managing time to assess requirements and create realistic timelines for project completion.
• Exhibits reliability and problem-solving skills with minimal supervision.

Technical Skills Required

• Basic knowledge of network systems and high-level call flow processes.
• Rudimentary understanding of wireless systems particularly in call processing or network management.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python Spark R SQL Hive JavaScript Node or C.
• Familiarity with data visualization tools like Power BI or Tableau.
• Experience with software based automation preferred.
