This role is part of Alcons Engineering function a team focused on improving quality processes products packaging and materials across our business to help deliver brilliant outcomes. You will be expected to apply project management skills technical expertise and problem-solving abilities to drive innovation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide specialist knowledge as the sites Subject Matter Expert (SME) for sterilization processes.
- Oversee process standards to maintain and improve EO and gamma sterilization for medical devices.
- Own and manage sterilization process knowledge across the organization.
- Deliver regular training and education programs for Process Experts and Operators.
- Conduct internal and external benchmarking to expand and strengthen sterilization knowhow.
- Lead optimization projects to improve robustness and sustainability of sterilization processes.
- Support production with secondlevel troubleshooting as a technical expert.
- Act as the Single Point of Contact (SPoC) for sterilization technologies with global MS&T and technical development teams.
- Collaborate with other sites and global networks to support technology transfer and alignment.
- Contribute to the definition and selection of sterilization equipment by providing input to URS requirements.
- Lead plan and coordinate sterilization process validation activities and timelines.
- Maintain inspection readiness and support internal and external audits.
- Provide input to and review regulatory documentation as needed.
- Participate in duediligence activities when applicable.
- Own the training curriculum for the role and provide training to new hires.
- Deliver technical training to Process Experts Product Stewards and Operators.
- Represent the organization as a scientific/technical expert through reporting and presentations.
- Work in accordance with HSE policies and procedures.
- Report HSE issues to the appropriate area owners.
