The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the activities of production and operating employees within a manufacturing environment. This role ensures production targets are met while maintaining quality standards safety compliance and operational efficiency.
- Supervise daily production operations and provide leadership to production staff.
- Recommend and implement improvements to production methods equipment performance product quality and overall efficiency.
- Review operational performance and collaborate with technical and administrative teams to resolve production or processing issues.
- Develop and manage production tracking and quality control systems.
- Analyze production maintenance and quality data to identify and address operational challenges.
- Hire train coach and evaluate team members; address employee concerns and resolve workplace issues as needed.
- Maintain accurate production reports personnel documentation and performance records.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards company policies and manufacturing best practices.
- Strong verbal communication and leadership skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
- Ability to work independently and effectively manage time and priorities.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes raw materials and quality control systems.
- Familiarity with industrial machinery tools and equipment maintenance principles.
- Understanding of technical drawings blueprints and production documentation.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Associates degree in Business Manufacturing or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a leadership role within automotive manufacturing.
- Fast-paced manufacturing setting.
- Flexible schedule required including overtime and weekend work as needed.
- May require standing walking and working in an industrial environment for extended periods.
