Analytical Lab Supervisor

Background: Our Client is an OTC CMO for aerosol products. They are looking for a Analytical Lab Supervisor to oversee their chemistry lab with about 10 analysts.
Project Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations of the analytical laboratory supporting a Contract Manufacturing Organization (CMO) environment.
- Coordinate the receipt of samples from manufacturing/production teams and ensure proper logging handling and prioritization.
- Supervise and perform analytical testing of raw materials in-process samples and finished products ensuring timely and accurate reporting of results.
- Review and approve laboratory data ensuring compliance with internal procedures and applicable quality standards.
- Initiate and lead Out-of-Specification (OOS) investigations in accordance with established procedures including overseeing retesting and identifying root causes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g. manufacturing quality assurance) to resolve quality issues and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs).
- Ensure adherence to laboratory safety practices and proper handling of aerosol and liquid-based products.
- Support testing and analysis of primarily liquid aerosol products including deodorants hairsprays and mousses.
- Oversee testing of raw materials and finished product samples to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Maintain laboratory organization compliance and readiness for audits or inspections.
