1st Shift/Full-Time: 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM; Monday - Friday

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Check items received against items purchased in daily receiving. Scan pack slips into computer and attaches to corresponding purchase order.
- Make copies of special documents and file into job files.
- Expedite purchase orders with vendors to meet required date on purchase order.
- Check for Order Acknowledgements with the Vendors.
- Advise production when there are significant delays.
- Issue materials in accordance with bills of material specifications for the completion of work orders.
- Add and adjust materials based on actual usage reported from stockrooms.
- Obtain quotes from vendors and add new vendors to computer system.
- Generate and enter routine purchase orders into the computer system.
- Perform filing relating to the purchasing function.
- Process the return of incorrect and/or defective materials for credit or replacement.
- Responsible for keeping office supplies in stock and ordering special items when needed.
- Approve vendor invoices for payment in accordance with purchase order specifications.
- Create new part numbers.
- Create internal work orders for fabricated parts.
- Perform clerical duties relating to maintaining physical inventory records.
- Other duties may be assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Requires education generally equivalent to 4 years of high school and 3 to 6 months related experience in materials processing clerical duties.
SKILLS and ABILITIES REQUIRED
- Read and interpret simple instructions and correspondence.
- Speak effectively with company personnel and vendors concerning materials inventory related matters.
- Perform basic calculations relating to inventory record keeping clerical duties.
- Apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed instructions furnished in written and oral form.
- Deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Attention to detail and accuracy with numbers are essential for successful work performance.
- Must be able to multi-task and prioritize.
