Duties And Responsibilities
Initiate facilitate and coordinate communication with community partners in support of day-to-day operations. Establish and maintain relationships with community partner agencies in awareness of the needs assets and political (internal and external) implications of those partnerships and in accordance with the university mission. Engage with faculty each semester to determine service-learning course objectives and develop new community partnerships based on course -lead the Summer In The City Internship Program as part of the CSSA JCU in the City initiative working with community partners neighborhood organizers and other stakeholders in the community. Help match interns to community organizations. Plan and attend roundtable sessions and neighborhood convenings. Prepare and establish service schedule in consultation with community partners and CSSA staff. Confirm all details of weekly service activities and maintain detailed spreadsheet with activity status and compliance requirements. Maintain updated list of community partners and contact information in Slate. Manage start of semester event configuration in the Activities Master and assist in cloning approved activities to service-learning courses or groups as needed. Assist with student registration and troubleshooting. Prepare students for weekly service in the community to include in-class orientations pre-service workshops reflection materials and reflection reader training. Oversee and track the completion of reflection reports. Monitor and evaluate service activities at community partners. Conduct a semesterly Now What Workshop to provide opportunity for reflection and action at the conclusion of the semeseter. Conduct site evaluations at service sites as required by the Federal Work Study program; manage compliance paperwork to meet deadlines. Orient community partners to University procedures and policies providing a clear articulation of the nature and purpose of service-learning student roles and mutual expectations and benefits of the partnership. Review community partner evaluation and survey data incorporate feedback to improve program planning. Plan and host an annual Community Partner Meeting. Convene a planning advisory committee of partners and create the content and agenda collaboratively. Assist with CSSA sponsored projects programs and special events as needed including the Meet CLE project Jesuit Day of Service and annual Community Partner Meeting. Build and establish significant relationships with campus-wide stakeholders including Boler School of Business and the Pre-Health Program. Support students and faculty in service/service-learning experiences. Take a lead role in supporting Boler Community Day and Volunteer Income Tax Assistance ( VITA ) program. Fulfill other duties/responsibilities as assigned by the Director.
Required Qualifications
Bachelors Degree. Strong interpersonal presentation and collaboration skills. Excellent communication skills including verbal written and interpersonal communication forms. Highly detail oriented and strong organization skills Advance proficiency in Excel; Proficiency in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint. Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment. Valid drivers license and good driving record.
Preferred Qualifications
Masters degree in related field. 2-3 years experience working with non-profit agencies. Experience with service-learning and civic engagement work.
